Brazilian Cinema at Key Biscayne Community Center series
"Moro no Brasil"

The community is invited to join the Brazil-USA Cultural Center of Florida for a free screening of the film Live in Brazil (Moro No Brasil), a musical journey that delves deeply into the heart of Brazil. Covering more than 4,000 km, with stopovers in Pernambuco, Bahia and Rio de Janeiro, director Mika Kaurismäki offers unparalleled access to the Brazilian people and its culture. This music documentary includes over 50 musical performances from the streets of Brazil, including interviews and performances by Walter Alfaiate, Seu Jorge, Antônio Nôbrega, Darue Malungo, Silverio Pessoa, Margareth Menezes, Ivo Meirelles and many more. In Portuguese with English subtitles, the film runs 105 mins.

We are heading into the cattle-rich area of Midwest Brazil for part three of our Brazilian celebration. Chef Adrianna Assemany menu includes Empadão Goiano (Goiás style pot pie with sausage and vegetables), Galinhada com Pequi (Chicken rice with pequi fruit) and Sorvete de Cajá (Cajá fruit ice cream) for dessert.
