RIO DE JANEIRO was the perfect ending of the yearlong program "CULTURAL CUP".

On Saturday, December 1, a diverse audience participated in the program that included a presentation about the city by CCBU's president Adriana Sabino, a casual and fun talk with Gene de Souza, the host of the award winning weekly radio program "Café Brasil" on WDNA 88.9FM and a reading and conversation with Cassia Martins, author of the book "Born in Rio".

Charles Goodman, who attended all the Cultural Cup's sessions was recognized as a "Honorary Brazilian" and "CCBU's friend". Throughout the year Charles shared in his blog and his Facebook page the interesting facts he learned about the 2014 FIFA World Cup Host Cities.

He said: “I enjoyed the presentations, learned more about Brazil and its culture, made new friends and tried to build good relations between Brazil and the U.S.” And he declared that his favorite typical Brazilian treat was the “bolo de rolo”.
