CCBU celebrated its 15th anniversary at Calle Ocho!
||CCBU - Centro Cultural Brasil-USA da Florida celebrated its 15th anniversary with a party in the heart of Calle Ocho, on May 24.
CCBU members, friends, supporters and partners mingled in the beautiful ambiance of CubaOcho, art gallery and research center, enhanced by the Fred Smiliansky’s lighting enjoyed AB Catering’s exquisite Brazilian food ; and the Brazilian images and music by D.J. Fred.
The live flash performances by the event’s honorees: Antonio Adolfo Music School, Brazilian Voices, Clube do Choro, Rose Max&Ramatis, and Paulo Gualano with participants of the Unidos da Florida Samba School, together with Gene de Souza, host of radio program Café Brasil were the perfect introduction of these exceptional musicians’ talents and became the highlights of the evening.
As the dance floor filled and the conversations, drinks and food flowed we were assured that this very lively celebration demonstrated CCBU’s passion for Brazilian culture and its contributions to the cultural enrichment of South Florida’s multi national community.
The celebration had the support of TAM Airlines; the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida; Ronira Fruhstuck, photographer; Consulate General of Brazil in Miami; and media partners: AcheiUSA, Gazeta Brazilian News, Acontece, BrasilMais. Click to see photos
