Miami Mix: How Brazil Became Part of Miami

THANK YOU DONORS

The Centro Cultural Brasil-USA da Florida is proud to be presenting the exhibition Miami Mix: How Brazil Became Part of Miami. We thank all who collaborated and donated money. Although we did not reach our fund raiser goal, we'll go ahead and tell the story of how extraordinary Brazilian architects, urban planners and artists created urban icons, in Miami, and show how Brazilian music, tastes and language are now part of Miami's cultural fabric. It is Miami History, and we are proud to be part of this story.

Let's Design A Sidewalk! / Vamos desenhar uma calcada
Sunday, September 10
10:00am - 3:00pm
Miami Center for Architecture and Design
100 NE 1st. Avenue, Miami, FL 33132

From an urban planning perspective children will create a mosaic for a downtown sidewalk. They will choose a piece of a big blue print to compose with foam square tiles forms and color the sidewalk mosaic. Each piece will represent a portion of the sidewalk and streets. In the end of the activity they will put all works together to create the finished product. Children will be allowed to take their works home. The event is coordinated and presented by Brazilian Artist Silvana Soriano and is part of the programming of the “MIAMI MIX: How Brazil became part of Miami” presented by the Centro Cultural Brasil-USA (CCBU)
