Announced: the artists who will represent Brazil at MIAC III

Daniel Azulay and Paulo Laborne are the two artists selected by MIAC III's curator, Sophie Videment to represent Brazil at this year's exhibition themed "Away From The Horde".

Five artists submitted their work for 2011 MIAC III : Luciano Rabuske, Silvana Soriano, Sylvia Soicher, Daniel Azulay and Paulo Laborne.

MIAC is an international annual exhibit, organized by a group of directors of international cultural organizations and consulates. The curator, Sophie Videment determines the theme and chooses two artists per participating country.

The exhibition will be at the Miami Dade County Main Library, downtown Miami, during a month. Opening night will be April 29.

Crazy About You Restaurant

A group of women and one man participated in the lunch celebrating Women, with the special participation of historian and writer Pietra Diwan, Wednesday, March 16, at the "Crazy About You" Restaurant.

The participants enjoyed the discussion of the theme presented by Pietra Diwan: Women in the modern world.

The MIAC III, Away From the Horde features a selection of paintings, videos, photographs, and sculptural installations by artists: Daniel Azulay, Daniele Ballerini, Michèle Beaudin, Alice Betancourt, Perez Celis, Ofra Ben David, Ira Eduardovna, Rodrigo Fló, Horst Kohlem, Friedrich Kunath, Paulo Laborne, Wanderson Marccio, Marithou, Jill Mulleady, Philip Ross Munro, Nelson Neirner, Rafal Olbinski, Tomasz Rut, Analía Sandleris, Serge Strosberg, Guy Syllien, Alicia H.Torres.
