The documentary film 'The Petit Bourgeois - A philosophy of life' is the best example of my definition of the protagonist. If I had to reduce Brazil that works to an only human being, this would be Martinho da Vila. After all, who can better explain Brazil of our dreams that a man of the people, born in a farm in Duas Barras, a countryside city in Rio De Janeiro, and passed his childhood in a very poor slum quarter?

An impressive history given that the great composer, great singer, the man that promoted by his own initiative a brotherly relationship between Brazil and Africa, a Brazilian acknowledged in the entire world, who was the great responsible for some of the best presentations of the Unidos de Vila Isabel Samba School.

Cultural Information
It is Carnaval time in Brazil! There is plenty of happening places where locals and foreigners mingle throughout Brazil.
In each city and region Carnaval is celebrated in a distinctive way. From the street celebrations and Samba schools parade in Rio; to the "blocos" in Recife and Olinda, in the Northeast; to the trio elétricos and axé in Salvador; fun is all over the place.
Feijoada is a stew of beans with beef and pork, which is a typical Portuguese dish, also typical in Brazil, Angola and other former Portuguese colonies.
In Brazil, feijoada is considered the national dish, which was brought to South America by the Portuguese, based in ancient Feijoada recipes from the Portuguese regions of Beira, Estremadura, and Trás-os-Montes. The name comes from feijão, Portuguese for "beans".
